Project Office Technician
To provide high quality technical enquiry and cost-effective design proposal support via telephone and email for customers using companies products.
? To respond to technical enquiries concerning standard system applications, and to assess applications for oversize windows and doors, from fabricators and employees within specific timescales.
? To assist customers with enquiries relating to associated products (commonly known as ‘Building Physics).
? To undertake preliminary static and thermal calculations in accordance with methods and design principles.
? To act as lead and offer specialist guidance in customer meetings in a technical capacity.
? To review customers’ general arrangement drawings with respect to standard systems principles and recommendations.
? To produce drawings and bespoke designs, to meet customers’ requirements on an ad hoc basis.
REPORTS TO: Technical Manager
LOCATION: Milton Keynes
Experience in the fenestration industry is essential.
? Proven industry experience, including a practical understanding of the Building Physics relating to the workings of window, door and curtain-walling systems.
? Proven customer service skills, including experience of dealing with customers via telephone, email and face-to-face and the ability to take ownership for the duration.
? Excellent written and oral communication skills.
? Excellent team work skills.
? Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
? Highly proficient in CAD; specifically AutoCAD.
? Practical knowledge and experience of working with Revit and BIM.
? Engineering qualification
? Lives within daily commuting distance of Milton Keynes
? Must have a clean and valid UK driving licence.
