Our client is seeking an Accounts Assistant to providing accounting admin support to one of their key sites. The team is close-knit and supportive, offering full in-house training on their internal systems and procedures.

Job Function and Responsibilities:

*Taking incoming calls, booking and allocating jobs
*Book keeping, including manual entry into day books and diaries

*Taking payments via phone and face to face , also cash and cheques via post
*Invoicing and statements
*Regular uploads of invoice information onto the database
*Filing of invoices and documentation
*Completion of company bank reconciliations
*Responsible for courier and post, including credit cards and cheques

*Timely resolution of ad-hoc queries

Knowledge and Skill requirements:

*Experience of working in an accounts admin/assistant role
*Computerised and manual book keeping

*Experience in invoicing

*Reconciliations and statements
*Excellent numeric and IT skills and confident use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
*Knowledge or experience of Sage based financial systems would be highly advantageous
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*High levels of attention to detail and accuracy
*Effective organisational and workload management skills
*Contributes to a co-operative / pleasant / hardworking environment

Please note that the role is based in an industrial environment on the outskirts of Frome, therefore own transport is essential.
