Are you a teacher of Computing and ICT looking for an exciting opportunity to work in East London in a thriving, dynamic and friendly secondary school with outstanding facilities that is proud to have an outstanding reputation in the local area? The school is looking to employ a Computing and ICT teacher who is able to deliver their subject with a passion at KS3 and 4 and be part of an excellent Department. The role is a permanent and full time.

The school in recent years has been transformed, teaching takes place in modern well equipped classrooms where all teachers work hard to maintain its excellent reputation in the local area. The ICT and Computing department has outstanding facilities that are utilised in lessons. With well-equipped classrooms furnished with high end equipment staff are able to teach the new curriculum without having to think about technological failings. The ICT suites are maintained to the highest level by a team of technicians who are on hand to assist whenever they are needed. The network has been designed to accommodate the ever changing curriculum and advances in technology. This has allowed for excellent teaching and in turn results have seen an improvement in recent years.

The aim of the ICT department is to prepare students for the future and give them the skills and knowledge to compute in their life ahead. Their priority is to motivate pupils to engage in and enjoy ICT and computing while learning valuable skills. The curriculum is followed and all pupils are able to experience both ICT and computing at KS3 and 4. Teachers with a wealth of experience are led by the head of department who motivates and has built a strong team of teachers. This role has come up due to internal promotion in the school.

The head of ICT is now looking for a teacher of computing and ICT to join the team. The successful teacher must have experience of teaching Computing to KS3 and 4. Having experience of teaching GCSE and BTEC is also essential. The school is looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated ICT and Computing teacher who has experience of delivering outstanding lessons and a record of developing student achievement. This role would suit an experienced teacher of an NQT looking for a role to complete their NQT year.

For all staff an extensive CPD programme is offered, NQTs will be supported throughout their induction year and training is offered weekly to ensure successful completion and rapid progression into their teaching career.

• Be degree educated
• Have relevant specialist qualifications and experience in your subject specialism with the ability to teach at all Key Stages and all abilities
• Be an outstanding classroom practitioner.

• Be open to advice and feedback
