The Opportunity
We're a growing manufacturing business looking to bring in a new Procurement Manager to continue developing themselves and our buying department. The Role
As our new Procurement Manager you'll be overseeing all buying, supplying and goods in for the operational side of our manufacturing business. We're a fast paced outfit with a focus on production quality and efficiency so you need to thrive in this environment to make the most of your time with us.

Reporting into the Operations Director your role as Procurement Manager is crucial to our business and you'll be responsible for ensuring our management and production teams have full visibility of the supply chain in order to plan and carry out work. As someone experienced in procurement I don't need to tell you that accurate reporting and good supplier relationships are essential for this.

Admittedly our current processes and systems could do with some tweaking, we want to be as efficient as possible and we view a proactive procurement team is critical to this, but we will give you free rein to plan and implement these changes - a great opportunity for a Procurement Manager if you're looking to make your mark.
The procurement team itself is well-established and has a lot of potential but we are keen to develop our staff and would be looking for you to mentor the existing members and potentially grow the group.

The Candidate
If you're a Procurement Manager working in a manufacturing environment we'd love to hear from you.

Anyone with buying or procurement experience from shop fitting, kitchen, bathroom or furniture manufacturers, joinery or metalworking companies would really be able to hit the ground running.
We use an MRP system here so you will need experience of working with similar programmes and because of the reporting aspect of the role it's important that you know your way around MS Excel.

As Procurement Manager you will have a team reporting in to you and their development is a large priority for us so we'll need to understand your supervisory and mentoring experience.

We have a Distribution Centre based in Scunthorpe which you will need to travel to on occasion so you will need to be able to drive.
