Due to continued growth within our new client, we have a new exciting oportunity for a permanent vacancy as a Residential Support Worker Waking Nights position to work from Botley, Oxford with a large care business one of the most aspirational and innovative care providers in the UK they are continuing to grow and extend their services and support, whilst at the same time further develop their existing children's homes to remain among the very best in the sector.
- OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES & THE ROLE
To liaise with senior staff on arrival for duty in order to be made aware of any ongoing/outstanding issues i.e. medical, behavioural, building etc.
To supervise young people during the hours of sleep
To perform routine cleaning tasks ensuring that the home is always well presented
To become fully conversant with the home's philosophy and policies.
To respect and maintain the confidential nature of the work.
- YOUNG PEOPLE
To establish good relationships with young people based on confidence, trust, understanding and mutual respect, setting a good example to all staff.
To deal with minor problems during the hours of sleep and to alert sleeping-in staff to any major problems.
To take a share of responsibility for the safe supervision of young people by exercising adequate control.
To be aware of any problems by maintaining good communication and alleviating difficulties with resources.

This working week is 40 hours per week on a four on four off rota and the shift pattern is 21.30 to 07.30.
