Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood, are currently working with an established firm of chartered accountants who are seeking to recruit an ACA / ACCA qualified Accounts & Audit Senior to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a varied general practice position which will include Accounts, Audit and Tax work with the exact weighting of the workload being dependent upon the individual and their existing skill set.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified (or approaching qualification) and will have strong experience of leading audits on a variety of clients. You will be responsible for the on-site management of audit assignments, ensuring that all work is completed in an effective and efficient manner, to the pre-agreed audit plan.

Duties & Responsibilities

To ensure that each assignment is undertaken in accordance with the pre-assignment instructions
To act as day-to-day point of contact for the client, and to practice the principles of excellent client service at all times
To review work completed by trainee staff for adequacy and completeness
Providing adequate briefing, supervision and "on the job" training for trainee staff
Preparation of statutory Accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparation of Corporation Tax computations and returns


ACA or ACCA qualified (Candidates at the final stages of their studies may be considered)
Proven audit experience with exposure to a variety of clients
Experience of undertaking a varied general practice role
