Our client is a large multi-disciplinary consultancy with their head office based in Central London. They currently have an opportunity for an experienced Architectural Acoustic Consultant to join their team as either a Senior or Principal in London. Our client is looking for candidates that can meet the following specification.

Qualifications:

  • Degree / Diploma qualified (Environmental Acoustics, Acoustical Engineering, Architechtural Acoustics etc
  • At least 5- 10 years+ relevant post graduate industry related experience.
  • Full membership of the Institute of Acoustics


Experience:

  • Experience in the use of noise equipment, technical databases and software and in developing the same.
  • Sector experience in transport, construction etc.
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary project teams and meeting tight deadlines and working to defined budgets.
  • Experience of working within quality systems and procedures.
  • Experience of health and safety matters and associated risk assessments.
  • Experience of client relationship building and collaborative working.
  • Experience of securing large scale (and high value) work in a competitive environment.
  • Experience of marketing and sales campaigns and taking initiatives in these areas.
  • Experience of managing staff e.g. carrying out performance reviews etc
  • Knowledge of noise & vibration legislation and policy.
  • Knowledge of project and programme management.


Skills and Competencies

  • Good negotiating and commercial skills and a sound understanding of commercial and contractual matters.
  • A proven track record of relationship building and collaborative working.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to introduce innovative and cost effective solutions to deal with project issues and risks.
  • Active involvement in a relevant Professional Institute(s) and working groups e.g. IOA, ANC.
  • Ability to take initiative and take responsibility in the absence of senior staff members
