The School – SEN Primary Teacher
This is a mainstream school with an SEN provision, however with the confirmed backing of the Local Authority this provision is about to become a separate SEN School who will be lead by a very experienced SEN Head Teacher . There are confirmed numbers of students in attendance right up until September 2018 which increase dramatically year on year. This is a very exciting time for a SEN Primary Teacher to become and create something very special. Person Specification for SEN Primary Teacher
To be considered for the SEN Primary Teacher you will need to be a lively, energetic and experienced SEN Primary Teacher who has worked with SEN pupils before with a forward-thinking, creative teaching philosophy. As a SEN Primary Teacher, ideally you will have a minimum of 2-3 years solid teaching experience and the school will consider those who are considering making the transition from mainstream primary to SEN. You should have a forward-thinking approach that enables you to take to your new role from the first day and begin benefitting your students. The Headteacher wants to recruit a SEN Primary Teacher with the kind of self belief and external expectation levels that drive performance in them and the people them work with. You will have the skills to teach with gusto and deliver lessons that will focus the attention of your students on the task at hand.

About the Role SEN Primary Teacher
The school mainly caters for those with EBD, ADHD and Autism who are at risk of exclusion. The students will be in the school for a year where, if all goes well and to plan that student will be introduced back into the mainstream or another provision will be sought. In this SEN Primary Teacher position you will be teaching across KS1 and KS2 with a very small class - you will be teaching alongside an ambitious team of 3 EBD assistants. In this post you will be joining a school that is well-resourced with the latest teaching technologies and facilities that include an outside learning and interactive soft play areas. In general, you will be learning directly from a very experienced SEN Headteacher who will operate as your personal mentor during your first few months at the school.
