Experienced practice accountant senior semi senior for small accountancy practice in Alton
Your new firm
You will be working for a small friendly general practice firm with a varied non-specialist client base in Alton. Their client base includes over 100 Limited Companies and over 400 tax returns are completed annually.
Your new role
You will be working closely with the Directors assisting them in the management of client accounts undertaking accounts preparation and associated tax work for limited companies (turnovers up to £11M), partnerships and sole traders/self-employed.
You will be expected to take a lead role in client management which will be undertaken by telephone, email and in person as required, with occasional visits to client sites.
You will be using IRIS for accounts preparation and tax, Sage for bookkeeping and payroll and some use of Xero, which some clients prefer. Previous experience of these packages would be useful but is by no means essential so long as you can demonstrate strong computer literacy.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have previous or current experience in an accountancy practice (this is essential) and must be happy working in a small team. You will need to be flexible in your approach and experience of direct client; contact would be ideal.
There is nothing set in stone as regards qualifications and applications are being accepted from those who are part-qualified, fully qualified or "qualified by experience", so long as prior experience in public practice can be demonstrated.
