Teacher of Biology/KS4 Coordinator, Brentwood/Essex
Required for September 2017, an enthusiastic and well-qualified Biology teacher to teach GCSE, A level, IB Higher and Standard Biology in a collaborative and supportive Science department. The successful candidate will have good subject knowledge and experience of A level teaching. Experience of teaching International Baccalaureate courses is desirable, but not essential as training can be given. An exciting opportunity also exists for the right candidate to lead coordination of the new GCSE for all three sciences. Specialist knowledge of Physics and Chemistry is not required but strong organisational skills are required to coordinate schemes of work, medium term plans and practical skills development.
96% of our GCSE Biology students achieved A* to C in 2016. Biology is a very popular subject in the 6th form with over 100 students taking it at A Level or as part of the I.B. Diploma.
