Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a leading service sector business in Sheffield. They are very well established and work out of modern, well equipped offices in a convenient Sheffield location. They currently have a rare opportunity for a newly qualified or late part qualified Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller in producing financial reports.

The job role is extremely wide and varied and the individual must be able to manage competing demands for time and be able to work effectively as part of a team. Duties & Responsibilities will include:

* Financial accounting including preparation of annual accounts and audit coordination
* Management accounting, including supporting the budgeting process as part of the annual business plan development, and timely and accurate monthly cash flow, P&L and balance sheet reporting; including forecast projections and associated variance analysis and commentary
* Supporting new business options costing and forecasting
* Oversight of the accounts payable and receivable functions
* Operational and Regulatory Reporting, including Balanced Scorecard and team KPI performance reports and quarterly reports learner registrations and awards
* Oversight of outsourced payroll service
* Ad-hoc project work including helping support the financial aspects of any future acquisitions or mergers
* Management and development of the 2 finance staff

To be successful for this role you MUST have the following attributes:-

* A CIMA/ACCA/ACA newly qualified or nearly qualified accountant with a good practical background in an SME business or in an audit practice
* Capable of delivering or aspiring to deliver first-rate financial and business management support
* Be a highly motivated, hardworking, and focused individual who must be able and willing to roll up their sleeves and do day to day tasks i.e. payment runs, invoice customers
* Have practical experience of the day to day process of ledger management ideally using Sage 200, and strong Excel skills
* Have some experience of finance systems and/or process improvement
* Good analytical skills are important and an ability to translate complex data into pragmatic and concise reports is welcome
* Have some experience of managing and developing staff
* Have excellent verbal/written communication skills, negotiation skills and a strong customer focus
