Civil Designer

A Civil Designer is required to join the busy design department, which designs and builds renewable projects including wind and solar farms, electrical substations, large battery storage scheme etc. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving company ranked in the top 10 of the Sunday Times 'Virgin Fast Track 100' awards for 2013, 2014 & 2015.

This Civil Designer's role will be to provide drawings and designs within the civil and structural departments and can range from involvement in designing and generating drawings and detailing for site layouts, buildings, structures, plans and elevations. This position would therefore be involved in most aspects of the civil/ structural requirements of the renewable and utility industries, and new and challenging designs/innovations/ideas are actively encouraged amongst individuals. The role is based at the Head Office close to Northampton but site visits to projects around the UK may be required as and where necessary.

The candidate should have a minimum work placed experience of 2 years in civil related design and full working knowledge of AutoDesk Revit, although some experience with AutoCAD is also recommended. Additional software usage, building regulations and other relevant standards knowledge, design experience and skills will be considered on a case by case basis, and use of Microsoft Office products Word and Excel would also be of benefit.

The position offers excellent opportunities for those looking to expand into new areas and to better themselves as professional membership and progression is actively supported.

A competitive salary and package based on experience is available.

The Package includes:

  • Full time salary
  • 25 days holiday in addition to statutory (includes some compulsory days)
  • Pension (matches individual's contribution up to a maximum of 4%)
  • Death in Service (4 x salary)
  • Company bonus at Directors discretion
  • 40 hour working week
