My client are one of Essex's leading and longest serving Solicitors, with offices across the county.

In recent years they have acquired several smaller practices and as a result are looking to significantly expand their Financial Services division over the next 5 years, via organic growth and they are also looking at acquiring several smaller regional firms in the next 12-18 months.

They are directly authorised by the FCA and offer a truly independent holistic financial planning service, with a client-centric approach.

The role is employed, paying a basic salary of between £40,000 - £50,000 (there may be room for negotiation on this in exceptional circumstances) with a generous benefits package.

In line with the FCA view salaries will be reviewed annually in line with performance, rather than target driven bonuses. You can expect a big lift in your basic if you have a good year, along with a discretionary company bonus. As the FS arm of the business is expanding heavily there may well be future opportunities to become a Partner in the business, this would obviously be a long terms benefit after proving yourself within the firm.

All clients are provided from their recent acquisitions and continual referrals from their existing clients, both on the legal and financial services sides.

A typical client will be HNW business owner with £200K+ to invest, and will be used to coming to their office for the service, however some clients are also visiting at their homes.

You will also benefit from a very well qualified and technically astute team of Paraplanners, Trainee Advisers and support staff. Leaving you free to focus on writing business and growing your client bank.

You will be an experienced and proven IFA, who is adept at providing fee based advice to HNWIs.

Although not essential as the firm have a surplus of clients, any business that you can bring to the table would be an advantage.

You will ideally be a Chartered or Certified Financial Planner. If you are not there yet but have advanced pension qualifications AF3 or G60 this would also be desirable.

As a large volume of the clients are also clients of the legal arm of the business, any previous experience and expertise in working with Solicitors would be an advantage.
