Forensic/Clinical Psychologist - Garforth Leeds

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 option of Permanent position or Locum opportunity

Remit:Compass Associates are working with a women's 56 bed independent mental health hospital who are currently looking for a clinical/forensic psychologist on either a permanent or locum basis. The hospital provides assessment and treatment services for women with complex mental health and disorders. The hospital provides both low secure and rehabilitation services.The locked rehabilitation services are split across three wards namely for patients with mental health needs, learning disabilities with mental health needs, and personality disorders. The first, 6 beds, provides assessment & stabilisation, for women with complex disorders primarily those with PD diagnosis /co morbidity. women may have stepped down from our low secure service or been admitted externally. The second, 8 beds provides active rehabilitation for women with complex disorders primarily mental illness/co morbidity who have stepped down from Low secure services, from Beech or from other services externally. The third 4 beds provides active rehabilitation for women with complex disorders primarily mental illness/co morbidity who have stepped down from Low secure services, from another ward or from other services externally.

Job Summary: You will need to work autonomously within professional and organisational guidelines and exercise responsibility for the governance of psychological practice within relevant services; to provide psychological assessment, formulation and interventions to inpatients; to work collaboratively as a member of the Multidisciplinary team and in line with the organisational policy for Multidisciplinary Team working; to utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the hospital.

The Candidate: It is essential you are hold an appropriate psychology qualification, are HCPC certified and have a strong knowledge of mental health.
