Assistant Building Surveyor

A leading Commercial Property Consultancy with offices throughout the South East are seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor to work from their London and Crawley offices. Offering the full spectrum of APC support with Professional support mainly from London and the Project side of things from Crawley, this Consultancy have a broad portfolio of Private Sector clients such as Private Developers, Investors and Occupiers operating mainly on Commercial properties. To be considered for this position you will need to have a minimum of 12 months Private Practice/Consultancy experience and recorded at least 6 months' worth of APC diary.

The Company

A multi-national Commercial Property Consultancy who have been established for over 25 years. With offices throughout the South East and the Midlands, this practice help clients at every stage of the property cycle and provide services including Building Surveying, Project Management and Property Management. With the Building Surveying team currently 15 strong across London and Crawley, this practice has strong expansion plans over the next 12 months and have an extremely high level of retained business.

The company have a commitment to growing their team organically and therefore have an extremely low staff turnover rate.

The Role

The Assistant Building Surveyors' duties will include;

  • Due Diligence/Building Surveys
  • Contract Administration
  • Party Wall and Neighbourly Matters
  • Dilapidations
  • Schedules of Condition
  • Defect Diagnosis
  • Pre-acquisition Surveys

The Successful Assistant Building Surveyor

This is a role ideal for an Assistant Building Surveyor seeking a tailored pathway to MRICS Chartership who may not be getting the support needed in their current role.

  • 12 months Private Practice/ Consultancy Building Surveying experience
  • 6 months APC diary recorded
  • MSc/BSc in Building Surveying
  • Experience in dealing with Professional Building Surveying matters
  • Committed to career progression
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be self-motivated, ambitious and organised
