Job Title: Shop Floor Supervisor
Location: Stroud
Salary: circa £25,000 - £30,000

Overview

My client is looking for a Shop Floor Supervisor who is technically competent in setting with proven man-management skills. This role is not office based and is very much a hands-on role.
As Shop Floor Supervisor, you will have full responsibility of the day-to-day running of the mould shop and assembly areas. Injection moulding background is needed for this role.

Duties:

*You will be responsible for direct supervision of 2 Setters, 1 Trainee Setter and 10 General Operatives.
*Providing support and training to ensure the smooth running of the mould shop with 14 injection moulding machines and 2 assembly units.
*You will be responsible for ensuring that all injection moulding processes are running efficiently, through optimisation and ensuring products are produced in-line with the quality standards laid down. Working closely with the Quality Manager.
*Responsible for ensuring that production schedules are met across both the mould shop and assembly units. Working with and reporting production issues to the Production Planning Manager.
*Responsible for reporting production figures back to the Production Planning Manager.
*Ensure that Health and Safety rules and policies are adhered to and ensure that the mould shop is a safe working environment
*Responsible for staff issues, absence control, discipline, and grievance handling (HR Support provided)
*Responsible for organising the opening and closing of the factory.

Qualifications and experience:

*Must be technically competent in the setting, optimisation, and maintenance of injection moulding machines, with a knowledge of a wide range of materials.
*Proven supervisory skills and experience is essential.
*Ability to plan and schedule work to meet production demands essential.
*Can handle pressure and can deliver to deadlines
*Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
*Excellent Analytical skills
*Have an excellent understanding of health & safety requirements.

Hours and Benefits:

Hours: Days - 39 hours per week, 12.30PM finish on a Friday
Holiday - 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays
