My client is looking for a motivated and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk, with solid German language skills.

  • Monitor and register incoming invoices ensuring all details are accurately recorded
  • Preparing supplier payment runs for review and authorisation by the local Business unit
  • Preparation of month end accruals
  • Assist in the monthly reconciliation and month end close of Accounts Payable ledger
  • Monthly revue and housekeeping of the accounts payable ledger
  • Undertake reconciliation of key suppliers accounts
  • Carry out other ad hoc duties necessary to smooth running of ledger and accounts function
  • Meet performance measures set in service agreements between business units and the SSC
  • Communication with BU on a timely basis and in an appropriate manner to solve any queries
  • Providing support within the team
  • Providing a high level of customer service

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant accounts payable experience
  • Experience in a complex organisation an advantage
  • Good knowledge and experience of MS Office in particular Excel
  • Familiarity with complex accounting system in particular Oracle an advantage
  • Ability to work well on own and in a small team
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to understand the prioritisation of tasks and to deal with them appropriately
  • Ability to work flexibly to ensure deadlines and objectives are met.
  • Good German speaking and writing skills required. Fluency desirable
