Purchase ledger Clerk

Gi Group are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk for our established client in the Denby area. This is a full time, permanent position.

Salary: £17,000 - £19,000

Hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday - Friday

Benefits: 22 days plus 8 days bank holidays.

You must be able to work as part of an established team, you must also have a proactive approach to work. Regularly liaising with the finance team to flag and resolve any issues that may arise in a timely manner, whilst building relationships with suppliers are dealing with any queries.

You must be capable and confident in handling queries therefore you must be able to demonstrate the following skills/attributes:

  • The ability to process high volumes of invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Experience of the posting of VAT
  • Knowledge and experience of scheduling supplier payments
  • The ability to reconcile amounts to supplier statements on a monthly basis
  • Highly capable with forms of IT

Key competencies:

  • A level or equivalent qualification
  • An eye for detail
  • Direct and relevant experience in maintaining purchase ledger
  • Able to work as part of a team or on your own
  • Self-motivated
  • Have the passion and energy to drive the business forward
