The Bristol Outsourcing team is growing fast, having expanded by over 50% during the last year. It specialises in providing international accounting services outsourcing to global businesses. We now require an Accounts Executive to help us deliver exceptional client service to our expanding client base.


The Executive will work as part of a dedicated team, working closely with, and supporting more experienced members of the team, and assisting in the timely delivery of services to our clients. They will build on their experience and take part in more complex tasks and work on international accounting projects and more reviews where possible. They will also gain an understanding of UK and international accounting and operations for subsidiaries of an overseas parent.


  • Posting of purchase invoices and payments posted into accounting systems and review of transactions posted by other team members where applicable, and either solely preparing monthly management accounts or review of said accounts prepared by other team members
  • Assisting with the review and processing of monthly payroll and employee expenses and where possible reviewing initial work completed by other team members
  • Set up of client payments on banking systems and review of bank reconciliations prepared by other team members
  • Dealing with multiple deadlines and prioritisation of tasks to ensure obligations are met
  • Assisting senior members of the team with transition and set up of new clients and entities
  • Liaising with clients as needed, dealing with issues which may arise, escalating to Senior/Manager as needed
  • Assisting with compliance reporting such as PAYE and VAT
  • Assisting with audit requirements and collation of documents for audit
  • Assisting other members of the team with tasks to increase their knowledge and enable you to delegate tasks to them
  • Carrying out 1st reviews of year 1&2 school leaver work where applicable
  • Carry out 1st reviews of compliance documents prepared by overseas offices for international projects where applicable
  • Liaising with offices overseas
  • Ad hoc administration tasks
  • Actively participate in client calls and provide assistance to resolve issues raised
  • Maintain awareness of risk and deliver high quality documents
  • Suggest and action process improvements and efficiencies
  • Ensuring the clients’ needs are met in regards to answering queries promptly, building a rapport with the client and anticipating requirements


  • Part qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA) or qualified AAT
  • A level or equivalent qualifications
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting software supporting international operations highly desirable but not essential
  • Experience working in an accountancy practice or outsourcing environment highly desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with US clients desirable but not essential
  • Foreign languages useful but not essential
