An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established building & maintenance contractor to cover the small works and maintenance department across the East Midlands, East Anglia, York & Gateshead area, working on Education, Healthcare, Commercial & Social Housing refurbishment projects. You will ideally be based from the company's Derby offices.
My client currently seek to appoint an experienced and ambitious Regional Estimator, whose role it will be to undertake the production of accurate tenders and quotations for the East Midlands, East Anglia, York & Gateshead area.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, your duties will be:
" Preparing and processing of quotations, bids and tenders
" Supplier and sub-contractor enquires
" Produce bills of quantities, schedule of work and contractor proposals
" Assess material, labour and plant requirements
" Increase and develop the supply chain at regional offices
" Review unsuccessful bids and client feedback to improve accuracy for future bids
" Assess commercial and operational risks with tenders
" Provide guidance to other members of staff
" Maintain accurate company records
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a stable career background as an Estimator, ideally having experience either within Social Housing maintenance, or commercial, Education, Industrial or Healthcare sectors.
You will have strong numerical skills and be competent in the use of all Microsoft Office packages. You will also be familiar with Estimating software (e.g. Causeway, Conquest)
The company offer a salary of up to £50k (depending on experience) + competitive package and benefits.
