Babcock International Group is currently looking to appoint a Vehicle Course Assessor - Technical (VWG). This is a home-based role which will consist of assessing a caseload of learners within North East London. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for progressing and assessing automotive apprentice technician qualifications by carrying out dealer visits within your market area.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Automotive Technician. You will have excellent time management skills with a willingness to carry out travel as part of this role. Assessing experience is desirable but not essential.

This is a home-based role; laptop and phone will be provided.


  • The assessment, progression and completion of learners in line with the VCQ code of Practice and Babcock Quality Assurance frameworks.

  • To effectively manage diary to ensure all learners within your caseload are supported in line with company and contractual requirements.

  • Comply with Internal Verification strategy by ensuring site visits are arranged your internal verifier and sampling plans are up to date at all times.


  • Technical automotive industry experience

  • Automotive technical qualification up to Level 3

  • IT literate in Word, Excel and MS Outlook

  • A1 or alternate assessor qualifications - desired
