This very successful company with a long history in the area is looking for an experienced Motor Insurance Claims Handler to join their team providing assistance in the insurance sector. About the role:
Working as part of a team you will be providing a full claims service including total accident management. Duties will include:
• Taking notification of new claims over the telephone, via fax and email from Policy holders and Brokers
• Confirming cover under the policy, the policy benefits and assessing liability
• Reporting and liaising with the policyholder's insurers on all aspects of a claim, reporting back to the client advising and updating on progress
• Identifying and appointing suppliers to assist the Policy holder
• Identifying any personal injury and appointing a panel solicitor
• Identifying and appointing suppliers for repairs if required
• Identifying and appointing suppliers for recovery and windscreen claims
• Assessing liability and assisting junior staff with liability decisions
• Dealing with incoming broker query or complaints and ensuring these are actioned as appropriate
• Keep Brokers and Policyholders fully updated throughout the claim
• Dealing with complaints and queries
• Obtaining evidence from the Policyholder of the losses suffered as a result of the incident
• Assisting the Policyholder to recover their losses from the Third Party or their Insurer via telephone and correspondence
• Resolving any liability issues and appointing solicitors to pursue cases
• Assisting with any total loss negotiations
• Managing the claim from First notification of loss to completion of the claim
• Liaising with the client's insurers throughout the claim from FNOL to completion

Skills and Experience required:
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar Motor Insurance Claims Advisor role. You will have a minimum of 5 GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent including English and Maths. Skills in Word and Excel are essential. You will ideally be working towards or have achieved CII Certificate of Insurance although this is not essential. You will also be flexible to work occasional Saturday mornings (paid overtime for 9am to 1pm)
