Team Profile:The Natural Resources Group (NRG) covers upstream oil & gas,downstream and petroleum products marketing, oilfield services, andbasic materials industries for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)region. Within the European Investment Banking Division, the NRG teamworks with relevant regional and international clients on a wide rangeof complex transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers,joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations,recapitalisations, demergers, leveraged buyouts and defences againstunsolicited takeover attempts, strategy advisory assignments andexecutions of public and private capital markets transactions. Responsibilities: Managing and assisting in the execution of corporate financetransactions (including IPOs, M&A, strategic advisory). Performing financial analysis, strategic business analysis anddetailed industry research. Contributing to team discussions and client meetings. Providing rapid and accurate market judgments to colleagues and clients. Preparing and delivering client presentations in a clear andcompelling manner. Acting as a mentor and role model to Analysts; promoting team culture. Working closely with experienced bankers on the team and acrossother groups.Qualifications:Qualifications/skills/requirements: You have a strong academic background having obtained top classdegrees from leading universities Relevant Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) experienceor equivalent required Strong analytical and modelling skills " these are criticalto success as an Associate Previous experience within Natural Resources is essential, BasicMaterials is desirable Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts; ability toanalyse and value businesses A positive, highly motivated individual who exhibits strongleadership and management qualities Fluent in English; ability to communicate effectively in multiplelanguages is helpful You are a results-driven team player who performs well underpressure and against tight deadlines You articulate complex ideas and summarise effectively.
