As part of the development team you would be responsible for maintaining & developing new & existing systems. Primarily we maintain existing .NET applications with a SQL Server backend, where new developments are focused around Javascript (ES6) (Node.js, Express, React, React Native).

A good understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript & SQL is required, and you will be expected to learn the necessary skills & frameworks as required with help from the rest of the team.

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

- .NET (VB)
- Version control (Git / Github / Gitlab)
- Database Design / Administration (SQL Server)
- UI / UX Design

This vacancy is based at their Head Office in Leicester, with occasional travel to the Operations office in Lichfield required, plus the opportunity to work remotely.

The candidate

Although not essential, the ideal candidate should be HND/Degree educated (upper second-class honours or higher preferred) in a computer science discipline and/or possess previous software development experience

Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate:

- Excellent communication skills, a positive 'can do' attitude to work and be willing to learn new skills
- Self motivation and the ability to work well as part of a team
- A close attention to detail
- Innovative, logical thinking
- Full UK driving license and own transport
- Naturally enthusiastic with the ability, drive and initiative to deliver solutions that move the company forward.
