Our client, an established wealth manager with a presence across the UK and an outstanding reputation for their portfolio management proposition, is currently looking to recruit an experienced individual to support the leading consultants in the region.
As part of a division offering discretionary investment advice to clients alongside wider holistic planning (in particular tax mitigation such as IHT and trusts), the role will involve providing a comprehensive level of support to the firm’s advisers and technical support function. This will include a range of administrative duties (new business processing, valuations), some client contact and providing cover on the telephones as necessary. Working very closely with the firm’s paraplanners the successful applicant will also be responsible for assisting with research and doing everything necessary for the production of high quality reports.
It is likely that applicants will be comfortable with the regulatory framework of companies in this market and have a sound understanding of FSA rules, having worked for either an IFA practice or life office. Attainment of the Certificate in Financial Planning will be viewed favourably, although the company does provide full funding and allotted days off for study.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual looking to join a forward thinking practice offering extensive training and support through further qualifications. One of the key selling points of the firm is its commitment to professional development and the ability it has to enable its staff to progress into advisory roles in the future.
Benefits include a discretionary bonus, SAYE, the possibility of overtime and a generous pension contribution.
