Due to growth within the team they are seeking an audit assistant manager to focus on pensions.
Your new role
Your new role will support the compliance and review function to deliver enhanced quality assurance processes through the provision of assistance to meet some 'whole of firm' audit related requirements other than file reviews. You will help assess the extent to which the audits of the firm comply with the Audit Regulations encompassing compliance with International Standards of Auditing (UK and Ireland), financial reporting and Ethical standards. Finally, you will make contributions to the annual debrief presentation to all qualified audit personnel and to the presentation of occasional training sessions on Ethics for new joiners and existing personnel.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have exemplary technical skills regarding auditing standards and their practical application including experience in audit reporting matters. You will be ACA qualified or hold a similar professional accountancy qualification. You will consider yourself an expert with regards to the UK auditing standards and preferably have an awareness of the regulatory requirements in Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man or Ireland. Wide-ranging practical experience regarding application of ISAs and audit methodology is essential and experience in IT auditing techniques would be an added advantage. Finally, the role will be primarily based in London although some visits to other offices may also be required.
