Full Time

Your new company
A leading mid-tier firm of Chartered Accountants and tax advisers in central London, providing advice to entrepreneurs, fast-growing and owner-managed businesses, charities and not for profit organisations across the UK and internationally. They help their clients solve problems, grasp opportunities and achieve their goals. As a mid-tier firm they are large enough to provide a wide range of services, yet small enough to offer a personal, responsive approach. Due to growth within the team, they are recruiting for an audit senior to join the pensions audit team.

Your new role
The role will entail running pension audits for a variety of clients. You will carry out audits using a bespoke risk based audit approach, and act as the senior on audits reporting directly to manager. The individual will be responsible for the planning of the audit file right through to the completion sections including drafting the financial statements, the management letter and the letter of representation. You will also supervise and effectively delegate work to less experienced members of the audit team and appraise other members of the team following completion of the jobs worked on. Finally you will perform 'accounts preparation' jobs either from the client's trial balance or from their original accounting records. An average of 4 to 6 weeks per year will be spent on 'away jobs.

What you'll need to succeed
In addition to being fully ACA/ACCA qualified, you will have had experience of leading audits from the planning stage right through to the completion stage including supervision of staff within your audit team. You will be familiar with and have an awareness of the laws and regulations that apply to accounting and audit and you are required to ensure compliance. You will need to be client facing and show willingness to work as part of a team and be able to meet deadlines.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a competitive salary along with the relevant benefits. You will gain great exposure to a variety of clients and will benefit from lots of interaction with senior managers and partners.
