Work Relief Charity Recruitment is proud to be working with one of the UK’s foremost specialist health charities; Providing support and information to service users and their families. We are looking to recruit a Service Delivery specialist to lead in the implementation and development of the charity’s services.

As part of the senior operations management team, the Head of Services is responsible for leading the service to operational excellence, ensuring it complies with service delivery standards and best practice guidelines.
A key element of the role is to ensure the success of a high quality, efficient and responsive services to those with long term health conditions, the establishment and development of a service culture and brand around the service, and building relationships with relevant commissioning bodies and other stakeholders.

Circa £40,000 per annum on experience

Full training provided on the specialist subject matter which will enable the successful candidate to manage all aspects of service delivery and operations management.

Reporting directly to the CEO, duties to include:
• Lead, oversee and further develop all aspects of the charity’s support activity
• Liaise with health and social care professionals, commissioners in the NHS and local authorities, to promote the benefits of supporting self-management
• Contribute to the annual and strategic planning of the charity
• Line supervision and development of direct reports
• Strategic research and development of direct services
• Implement the direct services strategy and hold overall responsibility for ensuring all agreed delivery targets are reached
• Monitor service delivery and quality on a regular basis
• Lead the development of a co-ordinated programme of support services capable of attracting contracts and/or direct funding
• Negotiate, secure and manage all aspects of specific contracts for services
• Research, identify, develop effective and innovative ways to increase support
• Research, identify and develop potential new partnerships and collaborations to increase the reach and impact of services

This is a service delivery management role working within the leading charity in the field. We are looking for candidates with experience of managing a support service in a statutory, voluntary or community work or health setting. You may have been a Project Manager / Operations Manager / Contract Manager or a Service Delivery professional with traits that include:

Ideal candidates will have experience and substantial skills in:
• Management, leadership and motivation of a team
• Understanding and implementation of self-management techniques in long term health conditions
• Development, implementation and management of budgets
• Project planning, management and evaluation
• Higher level analysis and decision making
• Experience of marketing in relation to statutory services
• Financial management and planning
• Understanding of the impact of long term health conditions

A full UK drivers licence and own vehicle is essential.

The post holder will be expected to become a Director of the charity’s trading subsidiary
