Audit Assistant Manager - Public Sector
Your new company
A world leading, top 10 firm of Assurance, Advisory and Tax specialists. With offices in over 100 counties, they are focused on making a difference to both clients, colleagues and the communities in which they work. They have created their own unique culture - one that offers the opportunities of a major organisation in a personal, close-knit environment and that's built around shared enterprise. Due to growth within the London Assurance Team, they are looking for an Audit Assistant Manager to work with Public Sector clients.
Your new role
You'll work with clients at their sites, getting to the heart of how they work and the challenges they face. Making the most of your audit experience and client management skills, you'll help clients mitigate risks and work more effectively. You will take responsibility for managing a key client portfolio and building and maintaining good working relationships with all colleagues and clients. You will take the lead on dealing with large, technically complex clients with minimal partner input and you'll manage a number of audit teams and ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent) and have significant post qualified experience and the ability to manage a large portfolio of audit clients. Experience of working on large audits in addition to dealing with complex technical matters is essential, as is previous experience of auditing charities, housing associations or education bodies. You will have strong people management skills, enabling you to support, coach and mentor more-junior colleagues. Finally you will have a passion for business development and a desire to be involved in developing a strategy for the team.
What you'll get in return
Not only will you be working for a leading organisation, you will benefit from a generous basic salary and a flexible benefits package to suit your own personal needs. The firms values underpin their culture and how they do business - they are embedded throughout the business and set the parameters of how they expect people to behave with their colleagues, clients and the world at large. As an organisation they want to be known for how they do business, not simply what they do.
