Senior IT Project Manager (O365 & Windows Deployment)

Polar Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading IT Services client for a Senior IT Project Manager, to join a highly successful Projects Practice, and be responsible for the delivery of complex, large scale, high value IT projects.

The Senior IT Project Manager will have experience in a similar position within the IT Services sector, delivering a range of enterprise scale infrastructure projects involving service transitions, transformations, data centre migrations, Networking, Virtualisation, Cloud solutions etc.

In addition the Senior IT Project Manager will have experience delivering large scale Office 365 and Windows 10/8/7 deployments/migrations.

This position can be based from any South East location - London, Surrey, Sussex, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Essex, etc.

  • Lead and deliver complex £ multi-million IT infrastructure & services projects.
  • Manage multiple projects to ensure delivery within timeframes and budgets.
  • Presales/bid support - estimating/pricing of project element of bids to scope project requirements.
  • Lead Project Definition Workshops to define requirements and scope project outcomes.
  • Client presentations and negotiations. Manage teams, plan project resource requirements, and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Commercial/P&L, governance and risk management of projects.
  • Produce high quality management reports and project documentation.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar Senior Project/Programme Management position, within the IT Services sector.
  • Proven track record of planning and managing progress, resources and cost on large IT complex infrastructure transition or transformation projects.
  • Experience delivering large scale Office 365 and Windows 10/8/7 deployments/migrations
  • Experience of project definition, project initiation, change management, commercial management and risk management
  • Proven ability to run client workshops and meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of bid support and contributing to proposals and the production of Statements of Work.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Prince2 Practitioner and ISEB or APM qualified. Prince2Agile or Scrum qualification desirable.
  • Proven experience of complying with defined standards and processes using a range of approaches including waterfall and Agile.
  • Full clean Driving Licence and willing to travel widely to customer sites as required.
