An opportunity exists for a Team Leader working for a prestigious Finance Company at the forefront of excellence.

Working on a rotational shift from 7:45am-2:30pm one week and 2:15pm-9:00pm the next and every other Saturday morning you will be responsible for the following;

  • Ensuring department KPIs are consistently met
  • Collaboratively and proactively seek ways to improve processes/procedures and implement these as agreed
  • Ensure the Clear Desk policy is implemented
  • Ensure the department runs its business in a professional and compliant manner with attention to timely completion of core reading and associated tests
  • Model and promote the Company’s Leadership Behaviours at all times
  • Champion all industry guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Ensure effective delegation of work and monitor and report on team performance
  • Responsible for the performance of the team to meet and/or exceed goals as set
  • Undertake performance reviews for the team on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis as specified
  • Undertake regular mentoring, coaching, review and feedback for all direct reports
  • Assist and motivate team members by evaluating job performance and training issues on a regular basis
  • Assist with recruitment, induction and ongoing training, identifying needs and finding solutions for development opportunities
  • Management of attendance and sickness absence
  • Undertake special projects and miscellaneous duties as required by Operations Manager
  • Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as requested by senior management
  • Responsible for monitoring team goals and managing performance accordingly
  • Willing to undertake a job-related qualification as determined by the business, after an initial training period

Person specification:

Formal Education & Certification

  • GCSE or equivalent English & Maths

Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven management/supervisory experience within customer relations or service environment
  • Able to demonstrate a wide knowledge of the debt collection industry
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to self manage time and varying workloads and able to assist other members of staff with prioritising workload
  • Help create an environment of open communication and team effort
