Cyber Security Consultant - CISSP, SIEM, IDPS, Firewalls, DLP

A leading provider of global solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Consultant who can guide external clients around the ever-changing world of security be their subject matter expert.

The role:

The security architect serves as the point of contact for security architecture activities. A key element of the role is working with the corporate environment and full product lines available. The architect should have good knowledge about technical information security controls and ensure that information systems are appropriate, fit for purpose and security controls are pragmatic and proportionate

The ideal candidate is an experienced senior security engineer that wants to move in architecture

Someone who is a knowledge builder & sharer, and an integrator of people and processes

Giving guidance around information security technical controls at the expense of the Group's ability to deliver on its goals and objectives would be a failure

Skills required:

Demonstrable experience as a security engineer (not necessarily communications or hosting services);

Have hands on and design experience in security technologies such as: firewalls, IDPS, anti-virus, proxies, DLP, content inspection, cloud, SIEM and log management systems

Confident, self-motivated, determined and innovative;

Able to engage and work with people across various locations and cultures;

Effective communicator (both orally and written);

Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a combination of information security and IT roles;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate technical security controls and designs to technical and nontechnical audiences

Demonstrable experience in developing information security designs

Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations;

Must be a critical thinker, with strong problem-solving skills;

High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.

High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision

Education & Qualifications

Preferred but not essential

Professional security certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
