Our role
Our Medical Test Engineer will perform product assessments on a wide variety of different electric medical devices to support CE marking as well as International certification within the IECEE CB scheme. They will assist and support both our technical teams, as well as our clients. This customer-facing role will manage client projects from start to finish ensuring key metric such as on-time delivery and first time right are met.

Key responsibilities including:
•Responsible for performing tests and inspection in accordance with medical related standards. Develop understanding of key medical standard (60601 etc.) and participate in relevant internal and external training to support development.
•Responsible maintaining a safe and tidy working environment in accordance with Element procedures.
•Responsible for ensuring that test equipment and procedures are used and maintained correctly to ensure compliance to ISO 17025. Highlight when test equipment is out of calibration including review of calibration data as required.
•Responsible for ensuring technical and customer excellence is maintained through effective project management.
•Responsible for ensuring test records, test areas, test equipment and client equipment are maintained in accordance with ISO 17025.
•Prepare test report in accordance with laboratory and IECEE procedures.
•Assist with client enquiries and work schedules to ensure technical and customer consistency.
•Responsible for maintaining and developing training records to support personal development.
•To ensure that commercial confidentiality is maintained
•To carry out any other reasonable duty as directed by the Operations or Department Manager.
•Perform testing on-site at clients or other Element facilities.

What are we looking for?
•HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
•Experience of working within a laboratory environment
•Experience working with medical standards such as 60601
•Significant experience working with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
