A Lead Assembly Engineer that has a proven leadership background within a manufacturing environment is required to take on the procurement of equipment and coordinate the introduction of new assembly equipment. This is a permanent, full time role, where in return you will receive a competitive salary.

As a Lead Assembly Engineer, your duties & responsibilities will include:
• Provide timings for assembly milestones and activities for project timing plans
• Support PPAP project requirements
• Report assembly machines and fixturing project status
• Identify and schedule improvement opportunities
• Escalate any issues that may arise

To be successful in the role of Lead Assembly Engineer, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
• HNC in a manufacturing or engineering discipline
• Proven background in assembly knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge and experience of supporting timing plans, process layout definition and tooling fixture design
• Strong problem solving skills

This position is based in Cannock and is easily accessible from Stafford, Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield and Wolverhampton.
