IT Systems Administrator – IT Security

Key responsibilities of the role will include;

·Reviewing, recommending, remediating and maintaining Security in a Windows/Vmware/Azure environment both on-prem and in the Cloud

·Provide security against industry best practice to infrastructure and application layers of the environment

·Successful delivery of IT services to over 700 users

·Producing business cases to support the continuous improvement of their Security agenda based on current and future trends in the market, in line with business needs

·Working closely with Group IT Security Officer (and wider team) to ensure both local and group security policies are adhered to

·Ensuring end-user engagement/education programs are successfully delivered

·Flexibility to provide weekend support to the business as part of an on call rota

·Successfully resolving security incident escalations from the IT Service Desk

·Owning DR and BCP for IT

·Delivery of projects acting as an SME to the business

What do we want from you?

·Demonstrable skills in making a positive difference to IT

·Confidence to drive IT standards throughout the business

·Working knowledge of/or security focused qualifications (e.g. CSX)

·Knowledge of ITIL, GDPR and PCI DSS practices would be advantageous

·Excellent communication skills for all levels of customers

·Attention to detail and ability to review, implement and follow processes and guidelines

·Ability to handle 3rd line escalation with little assistance from manager

·Someone who can work to high standards and high levels of drive
