Head of Finance & Risk
Our client is an FCA regulated e - money license business with ambitious growth and development plans.
We are recruiting for a Head of Finance and Risk to join the small team of highly experienced staff. This is a key role within the team and is a great opportunity for someone who can work closely with both the UK senior management team and other operating divisions. There is opportunity to grow into the role so could suit an experienced FC or Treasury Manager from within the regulated cards and payments industry who wishes to take on more responsibility.
The breadth of the role requires both a hands-on approach but also the ability to add value and be influential in business decisions at UK Board level and develop processes and procedures in a fast growth business. The role requires motivation and development of a small team in delivery of the job responsibilities.
You will be accountable as the senior finance person for financial reporting, banking relationships and treasury management as well as taking responsibility for effective risk management and regulatory compliance. The role will include liaising with all relevant external parties including the FCA. You will be supporting and advising on new product and customer launches and participating as a key member of the businesses Risk and Audit Committee (RAC)
Role will involve Financial Management, management and development of the finance team, liaison with the group finance teams out of the UK, overseeing the production of weekly and monthly management reporting and KPI's and provision of budgets and forecasts.
The successful candidate will likely be a qualified accountant with experience of the requirements of a high-volume transaction processing business augmented with risk management / operational experience gained in payments / financial services.
Whilst you may not have been directly responsible for risk and compliance, you should have good experience of working in a regulated environment, with a hands on approach but have the ability to delegate responsibility and manage delivery through a small team of compliance and finance staff. You will be somebody who understands what it takes to work in a fast-paced, start-up or smaller business and has the ability to get the job done, whatever the challenge.
