Hours: 37.5 Hours per week for a full caseload* Negotiable

Location: North West

* A full caseload would be up to 37 apprenticeships

This is a permanent opportunity for an established Assessor within the Health and Social Care sector. This position will be working for an accredited training and employment agency who specialise in the provision of apprenticeships, work based learning and job focused employability programme.

You will have a secure support structure in place to enable you to manage your own caseloads and well known brand with a good reputation to represent.

The Role:

You will have A1 and have experience in training and assessing Apprenticeships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out initial and diagnostic assessments including Functional Skills
  • Deliver induction/training
  • Meet external standards for any course delivery
  • Ensure all documentation meets funding body standards and compliance
  • Assess and sign off candidate portfolios
  • Provide Information, Advice and Guidance to allow candidates to progress

  • H&SC Qualification minimum level 3

  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Effective Report writing skills
  • Occupational competence in the Elderly Care sector
  • Ability to use IT systems effectively
  • Experience in training and assessing Apprenticeships

Desirable Skills & Attributes

  • Teaching skills
  • Information, Advice and Guidance qualification
  • Knowledge of Internal Quality Assurance processes
  • Management experience in the care sector (ward nurse, care home manager etc)
  • Management level qualification in care (RMA, NVQ4, Degree etc)
