About this Role:

My client is a National Civil Engineering Contractor with multiple successful and established offices throughout the UK and a turnover of circa £150M.

The sectors that they are presently involved in include;

Highways

River & Marine

Environment Agency Works

Water & Waste

Commercial

Industrial

Power & Energy

Due to a significant upturn in their workload which encompasses both of the Area 9 & 10 Asset Support Contracts (Highways Framework), Coventry County Council Works, Environment Agency Frameworks and multiple bespoke contracts on behalf of several clients this contractor is looking to recruit a number of individuals.

This particular position could see you working on one of the Highways Agency Frameworks, Environment Agency works or a bespoke project.

The Northern Head Office is based in Nottinghamshire and their areas of operations include;


Gloucestershire [1], Shropshire [2], Staffordshire [3], Warwickshire [4], West Midlands [5], Worcester [6]

M5 [7], M6 [8], M40 [9], M42 [10], M50 [11], M54 [12], A5 [13], A40 [14], A46 [15], A49 [16], A435 [17], A449 [18], A456 [19], A458 [20], A465 [21], A6 [22], A483 [23],

As a Site Agent, you will be working on one of the contractors many projects and will be responsible for co-ordinating all technical aspects, procure materials timorously, co-ordinate sub-contractors and ensure that quality and costs are controlled.

Responsibilities

Managing a Civil Engineering project

Liaise with employers representatives to raise and answer queries

Monitor additional work, day work and/or delays to ensure that costs are recouped

Monitor progress against master programme, identify anomalies and implement rectification

Monitor quality, safety and environmental systems to ensure compliance

Monitor temporary works to ensure they are fit for use

Short term programming to monitor against master programme..

About the Company/Client/Project:

A leading National Civil Engineering Contractor.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

A BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with recent and relevant experience in a similar role with a Civil Engineering Contractor

Previous Highways experience ideally, and preferably experience of structures such as Bridges and Viaducts etc.

The client would also be particularly interested in those with experience of Infrastructure and Environment Agency works.

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
