Ongoing temporary role to support a Nottinghamshire Charity with all aspects of Financial/Management Accounting

Client Details

My client is a Charitable organisation who operate across the World providing support and assistance to the most vulnerable members of society. They operate from their head office in Nottingham and can offer a flexible working environment for the right candidate.


The Charity Accountant role will involve:

  • Reporting to the Head of Finance with responsibilities across Financial and Management Accounting
  • Prepare timely, accurate Monthly Management Accounts and other Financial Information for the Board

  • Work with the accounts team, and take responsibility for ensuring accuracy of all nominal entries

  • Prepare a full reconciliation schedule summarising the reconciliations performed by the rest of the team

  • Ensure financial and transactional data held within the systems are accurate

  • Working closely with various other key stakeholders of the management team on ad hoc financial reporting projects

  • Ensuring compliance and adherence to SORP regulations


The successful applicant will have:

  • Strong focus on controls and processes and a high attention to detail

  • Demonstrate problem solving & analytical skills
  • The ability to multi-task, as well as a willingness to not only lead, but get involved as an individual contributor
  • Up-to-date technical skills and confident preparing UK statutory accounts
  • The ability to work closely with external advisers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - you will engage with colleagues on a daily basis and you'll need to ensure processes and standards are being followed
  • Detailed knowledge of FRS 102 and the Charity SOPR 2015

Job Offer

An ongoing flexible interim position, part time (25 hours per week) with the potential of a permanent position
