Job Title: International Account Manager
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 basic plus car allowance, bonus (up to 15%) and benefits package

Our client has significant ambitions to grow its International business by further developing existing markets and entering into new International markets. In this role you will lead the International business growth agenda, with support from a more junior International Business Manager, Head of Sales and Finance Business Partner.

You will be responsible for the creation and delivery of the International Sales strategy, as well as taking personal ownership for entering and expanding the key markets of the USA, Canada, Netherlands and Ireland.

Our client works in partnership with a number of Agents, Distributors and International Retailers. Developing these to be strong, mutually beneficial commercial relationships will be key to your success.

Role Responsibilities:

  • "Delivering Excellent Customer Service as Standard" for all International customers
  • Being the company's International commercial lead
  • Development and ownership of the contact strategy
  • Leading the delivery of 98.5% customer service level
  • Forecast accuracy +/- 10% at Customer Level & SKU Group Level

Sales Delivery

  • Full P&L ownership and improvement for all International customers
  • Jointly delivering the total budgeted Net Sales Value and GM3 for 2018/2019 financial year (July '18- June '19)
  • Responsible for the creation and delivery of the International Sales strategy in conjunction with Head of Sales, CEO and other members of Leadership team
  • Delivering a written plan by key strategic market, targeting retailers and listings to enable progress tracking and review
  • Personal ownership for entering and expanding the key markets of the USA, Canada, Netherlands, Ireland
  • Delivery through direct report, successful management of other markets
  • Ensuring the core range is listed across customer base

Delivering Category enhancing NPD

  • Ensuring that total of £ 7.0m NSV for 2017-18 is delivered through NPD
  • Securing NPD listing, agreeing the launch & support plan
  • NPD initiatives are delivered on time and in full

Building Partnerships

  • Develop and agree written plans for key strategic markets
  • Regular contact with key strategic partners, weekly conversations and quarterly review / meeting
  • Building a strong working relationship with Finance Business Partner and Marketing teams, ensuring we act as "One Team"
  • Ensure all promotions are signed off internally and agreed with customers 6 weeks ahead of In-Store date
  • Working collaboratively with other functions throughout the business

Financial Governance

  • Ensure that customers are paying to terms and challenged if necessary
  • £ 0 cost price discrepancies over 60 days old
  • Max of £ 50k aged deductions over 60 days old
  • Challenging invalid invoices and invalid audit claims.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years International FMCG Account Management experience
  • A level calibre, preferably with a University business related degree
  • Proven track record of success within Sales
  • Experience managing International distributors is preferable
  • Strong International cultural awareness is essential
  • Highly numerate & computer literate
  • Detailed understanding of complex P&L structures
  • Passion for Food

  • Ability to work on their own but thrives as part of a team
