Data Scientist - Crewe - £50,000-£60,000

An experienced Data Scientist is needed to join an extremely succesful company based near the Crewe area.
My client are looking to bring on board an experienced Data Scientist to help drive their data function forward as they continue to grow at a tremendous pace.

You will have experience in modelling and the implementation of complex analytics for meaningful insights. If you have a few years’ experience as a Data Scientist and are looking to take the next step within an exciting, industry leading organisation then this role could be right for you.

Working within the Data team alongside Data Scientists, Data Analysts and Engineers, you will perform exploratory research and assist in the development of data processes with regards to Data Analysis and Modelling - They have VERY exciting projects in the pipeline and are lookign to invest into ans grow their Data Science function alongside their well established and successful Analytics Team!

Key Responsibilities Include:

-To perform exploratory data science projects, building predictive models and scorecards
-Application of a range of modelling techniques solving learning problems
-Assessing a variety of Data sources to identify new predictive insights
-Adapt modelling techniques for a variety of datasets
-Performing retrospective analysis and monitoring of model performance
-Mentoring or leading more junior members of the team
-Supporting projects technical support/consultancy workshops with clients

Key Skills Needed:

-Ability to create innovative and original solutions to problems
-Experience working on Data Science Projects, including the importing/cleansing of data from a range of data sources, working closely with engineering and model validation, R / Python
-Ability to drive creation of models forward creating meaningful insight
-Good communication skills, data visualisation and data reporting
-Programming in R or Python
-Passionate about data, big data, data-handling and cleansing with attention to detail
-Passion to deliver value through data, with a high level of initiative to drive Data Science vision forward
-Ability to analyse large datasets using SQL, R or Python

Experience as a desirable:
-SQL
-ETL, Cloud Environment Experince, AWS, Azure
