Legal Insurance Administrator Sheffield£19,000

We are currently recruiting for one of our clients, a major insurance wholesaler, for an insurance administrator to join their team in the Sheffield office.

The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance claims, preferably within customer service teams. The role is varied and dynamic - an ideal opportunity for an insurance candidate to branch out into a new challenge.

The day to day of the role is varied and will cover both customer service and administration. It includes looking at technical data and being able to process information, therefore confident computer skills are an essential.

The Role:
*Answer all inbound calls quickly efficiently and courteously, and make all outbound calls relating to claims
*Take notification of all new claims
*Assess and negotiate liability with third parties
*Manage own case load to achieve appropriate and efficient outcomes
*Manage and drive the clients claim forwards taking in to account both the client's and the business's needs
*Handle claims on behalf of underwriters in relation to all lines of Lexelle business from inception to settlement
*Develop a deep understanding of cover available under policies and relevant claims processes for motor and non-motor insurance
*Ensure all services available are offered to all potential clients
*Handle incoming post/emails on the date of receipt
*Meet strict deadlines set by Manager, work providers, etc.
*Undertake any tasks which may be required to ensure the smooth running of the department
*Adhere to FSA and Data Protection regulations
*Work to targets on both quality / quantity of work and conversion of appropriate leads

The Person:

*Customer service/claims experience in relation to insurance
*Good standard of education essential.
*Confident telephone manner
*Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
*Well organised with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
*Ability to meet targets / deadlines and work on own initiative
*Ability to work in a small team.
*Ability to learn new processes quickly and develop a deep understanding of the work being undertaken.
