An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified or qualified Accountant to join a rapidly growing logistics company in Essex as Financial Controller responsible to the MD and CEO.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the management and leadership of accounts and finance functions within the UK group from prime entry processing to final accounts and future forecasting in conjunction with and reporting to the Managing Director and CEO, as follows:
• Monthly management accounts
• Weekly finance and statutory reporting
• Cash flow management
• KPI performance reporting
• Monthly pay roll processing for over 100 staff
• Budget preparation
• Cost controls
• Forecast modelling with multi-site P&L
• Senior credit control
• All HMRC contact and compliance

The position would suit a part- qualified, qualified or QBE accountant ideally with relevant industry and strong people management experience, and excellent IT skills particularly Sage and Excel. You will demonstrate an outstanding work ethic with the drive to improve and achieve results, the ability to work under pressure in a standalone role, and the communication skills and commerciality to work with Directors to develop the finance function and implement strategy. You bring energy and innovation to the role and to the business.
