Guide. Facilitate. Deliver. Succeed.
Innovation and exceptional customer experience are at the heart of William Hill. Join us and be part of the team that push technology boundaries.
Here, you can use your expertise to build, guide and mentor our team and wider organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
We'd like you to upskill our team on self-organising to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks. Assessing the Scrum maturity of the team, you can organise and coach them to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable and comfortable pace. You'll remove impediments and blockers and guide the team to do the same.
You'll build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving. You'll facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
Under your guidance, there'll be a healthy approach to discussion, decision making and conflict resolution. You'll help us with internal and external communication, PR, brand building, improving transparency and radiating information. This is your chance to support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example. Needless to say, you'll have excellent communication and mentoring skills.
With your help we'll deliver products on time, within budget and to the level of quality our customers expect.
We'd like you to bring us extensive experience of playing the Scrum Master role in an Agile software development team that has diligently applied Scrum principles, practices, and theory. You're adept at servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
You know how to deal with intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (Burndown technologies, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.) Other things in your locker…XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games (to name but a few.)
