Do you give the judges on "strictly come dancing" a run for their money with your moves? Do you know the words to "Hound Dog"? If you can answer yes to these questions then you're going to get on so well with the people we support.

We are currently looking to expand our team of dedicated relief support workers in Clacton-On-Sea who are supporting a unique group of 4 Females who have a learning disability.

Everyone has their own requirements but the type of support you will provide would be around administering medication, helping with personal care and offering support with cooking healthy meals. Being a support worker isn't just about making day to day life good, it's having fun! Fun activities could be helping one of our ladies secure her dream job, going to visit pugs or even going shopping.

Have a look at the additional information attached to really get an idea of who we support and what they need from you.

Supporting someone with their daily life is not a 9-5 job. You will need to be able to work across a range of different days and shift patterns, including some sleep in shifts, but the beauty of Relief Support Work is that you can work on an ad hoc basis with hours to suit you as well.

Our ladies have access to their own vehicles, so if you can drive this is very desirable.

One of the most amazing things about being a Support Worker is that anyone can do it! As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us.

An enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply)
