Arco: Experts in Safety have a great opportunity for an experienced and inspiring Accounts Payable Manager. Leading a team of 9 and reporting to the Head of Cash Management, the Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for reviewing and implementing financial processes and system efficiencies to ensure vendors are paid what they are due on time in the most efficient, effective and economic way..

Key Responsibilities
• Review the efficiencies of current Accounts Payable (AP) systems and processes, identify opportunities for improvement and proactively propose and drive improvement in line with the Operational Effectiveness strategic pillar
• Be a positive advocate of business change and lead and coach this through Finance
• Manage, develop & monitor performance of the AP team
• Represent the interests of the AP department across the Arco business and with relevant external stakeholders
• Alignment of AP with Logistics regarding the goods receipt process
• Alignment of AP with the Category team on vendor pricing, payment terms and method of payment
• Liaise with Vendors and Arco colleagues to resolve payment & other issues
• Own vendor master data
• Develop the opportunity within the SAP/APO process

To be successful in this role you will need to have; ]
• Good experience of financial system development and enhancement and project management
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex business processes and large volumes of data and make relevant business improvement conclusions and recommendations
• Ability to meet strict deadlines with strong time management and self-organisational skills
• Proven team leader, developer & manager
• Good interpersonal & communication skills across key stakeholders at all levels
• SAP Finance, Accounts Payable & Invoice Verification knowledge to a super user level combined with Finance & vendor business process knowledge
• Good IT & MS Office skills
• Good attention to detail and numeracy
