Job Description

Our client is seeking a Tax Technician to join the busy, professional team of Tax Technicians in a new vacancy. The role will involve making amendments to their client’s tax returns in order for them to obtain the tax relief due through their Research and Development activities.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified/degree qualified candidate with some experience within a accountancy practice who would like to work in industry

The role will involve:

  • Processing and checking the amendments of our client’s tax returns,
  • Working with credit control and finance to establish accurate and timely processing of client billing, as well as communicating the basis of this to clients in an effective manner,
  • Liaising with clients, their accountants and advisors to ensure the client’s benefit from the claim is correct,
  • Providing any support necessary to report writing team; provide instruction to case managers regarding outstanding information required to proceed; pre-packing information to allow reports to be written more efficiently

The successful candidate will need:

  • Strong academic record - the role requires individual to have the intelligence and ability to absorb,
  • assimilate and analyse often complex material quickly.
  • Degree (2:1, or above), 3 A levels (Grade A-C)
  • ATT or AAT qualification (or progression on qualification) preferred
  • Very Strong numeric skills and strong written English ability
