An experienced Credit Controller is required to join an established Insurance brokers in Chelmsford. Supporting the Credit Manager, through debt management and account analysis you will collect outstanding direct debit payments from policy holders. Duties for the Credit Controller role are:
Carry out day to day operations within your own area of responsibility as allocated by the Lead Credit Controller
Ensuring that own work is carried out to agreed procedures, systems, accurately and within any specified time limit.
To support the Lead Credit Controller in the collection of premiums and cash allocation to reduce the potential of bad debt.
Ensure effective collection of due debt following company collection process.
To monitor account specific debt cycles highlighting to the Lead Credit Controller.
Escalate problems as per company guidelines.
Assist in the identification and recommendation of changes to processes.
To support the reporting of actual debt / unallocated cash levels / future collectables.
Rapport build with internal teams such as Underwriters.
To assist as designated to Credit Risk related projects.
Previous credit control experience
Good base knowledge of either London and UK market practices
Previous experience within the insurance market would be ideal
Having effective communication and prioritisation skills
Monday - Friday: 9am - 5pm 1 hour for lunch
Central office locations
20 days + 8 Bank holidays
