As the Technical Auditor your role will be to contribute to development and to execute the company’s Technical Audit Programme processes, and to ensure that all the selected claims are audited thoroughly and appropriately with feedback to Technical Director, and SMT.

Immediately highlight any business risks to Technical Director, and SMT (where appropriate). Produce all audit reports within 20 days of audit being undertaken.

Provide the Technical Director, and SMT (where appropriate) an assessment of skills gap analysis, and identify ongoing training requirements as the business requires.

What will I be doing?

Delivering the agreed audit programme including contribution to the Operational Customer Experience Plan
Improving customer claims experience by identifying process/control gaps in panel performance and agreeing relevant actions.
Maintaining central action plan ensuring deadlines met and highlight any overdue actions to the Technical Director.

What do I need?

Extensive experience in an insurance claims handling and/or claims supervisory role, most of which should have been in Motor Claims or relevant experience
Sufficient audit experience, to include management of the audit function and at least an element of Motor Claims in the remit.
Time management and organisation skills.
Tact and assertiveness when dealing with internal colleagues and SMT.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-orientated individual with the ability to identify salient points from claims files.
Develop summary MI report in conjunction with the MI Manager to report monthly on Audit findings.
Manage Technical Audits each calendar month, providing immediate feedback to SMT during the month as issues arise and reporting full results at month end.
Develop audit capabilities of Claims Team leaders, with assistance in audit. Performance of Team Leader following audit to be fed back directly and Directors.
Comprehensive understanding of cradle to grave claims handling, covering;
FNOL
Advanced liability
Credit hire
CVT awareness
Personal injury claims (MOJ and non MOJ) up to and including multi-track
Principles of indemnity
Requirements under the RTA and Article 75
