The role would be teaching maths to all year groups to a range of different ability students at a thriving school in Reading.

The ideal candidate would hold QTS with relevant experience in teaching Maths to KS3-KS5, however Newly Qualified and Unqualified teachers of mathematics are warmly welcomed and considered for the position.

The school is an oversubscribed, high performing, co-educational school of 870 pupils which includes a thriving Sixth Form. The right teacher will be expected to uphold the values and ethos of the school, contributing to the development and implementation of policies, practices and procedures, whilst maintaining the highest expectations of all students.

Here are some quotes from the schools most recent Ofsted:

“The school values and recognises each pupil as a unique, special individual who deserves the opportunity to learn and grow in a community where all are cared for.”

“There is a renewed focus on teaching and learning and continual professional training to ensure that teachers are reflective and develop their own best classroom practice.”

“In 2016, the overall progress of pupils at the end of key stage 4, including that of disadvantaged pupils, was above national averages. Pupils, including disadvantaged pupils and those with low prior attainment, made strong progress in English and mathematics, achieving outcomes higher than others nationally with similar starting points.”
